Quirky and picturesque 19th-century building: Staying at this charming holiday home felt like stepping into a Jane Austen novel, with its beautiful architecture and historical charm. I half expected to come across Mr. Darcy around the corner.
Lack of full-length mirror: A minor inconvenience if you're all dressed up and ready to impress, but a full-length mirror in the main bedroom would have been the perfect addition to an otherwise flawless stay.

Exceptional cosy cottage with loads of character and plenty of space. Well-equipped and felt like a home. Dog-friendly. Lovely touches like the fire and heating left on, along with Christmas lights, wine, and biscuits. Comfortable bed and quiet area for a good sleep. Only a few minutes walk to the heart of the town with plenty of eating places. Definitely on my list to return to.
Felt welcome, no complaints.

Mind-blowing location with stunning countryside views from the back. Super clean and cosy cottage. Jaw-droppingly well-equipped kitchen. Amazingly comfortable beds. Peak Cottage was straight up cozy and had all the vibes. It was clean and had plenty of room for us to chill. Plus, it had all the goods in the kitchen for us to whip up some epic feasts. The best part? It was so close to both Buxton Opera House and the sick views of the open fields. We were rocking the good life!
If I had to pick one thing to make it even more lit, it would be having a banging sound system in the cottage. We were partying hard, but a sick playlist would've taken it to that next level.

The cottage is cozy and full of character, making it feel like a home away from home. The owners, Julie and Nick, were incredibly friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The kids loved the beautiful views from the bedrooms, and we all enjoyed the short walk into town for meals. We highly recommend Peak Cottage for a family getaway.
My children wanted more outdoor space to play in.

Peak Cottage was the best value for money - a cosy, character-filled home with all the necessary amenities and lovely touches like a warm fire and Christmas lights upon arrival. The hosts, Julie and Nick, were great, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The location was perfect, offering beautiful views and just a quick walk into the heart of the town.
The shower could be a bit temperamental when someone else was using the water, but it wasn't a major issue. A small improvement in breakfast items could enhance the overall experience.

The decoration of the cottage was simply charming, with beautiful furnishings that added to the cozy and inviting atmosphere. The general areas of the cottage were well-maintained and provided ample space for relaxation. As a senior woman, I found the cottage to be easily accessible, with no stairs to climb and on-street parking that made it convenient for me to come and go as I pleased.
I would have appreciated a handrail in the bathroom for better safety and support while using the facilities. The children working there were helpful, but sometimes a little more assistance would have made my vacation even more enjoyable.

The hotel is not suitable for individuals with limited mobility, as there are steep climbs and stairs that can be challenging to navigate.

I had a fantastic stay at this charming and beautifully furnished cottage. It was well equipped and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable and the views were fine. The hosts were very obliging and provided lots of information regarding check-in and were quick to answer any questions I had. The location was great, with on-street parking and just a short walk to everywhere.

Cosy, well-presented, with great views and a fantastic location. the cottage was beautifully furnished and had a charming character. the views from the front and back bedrooms were stunning. It was in a prime central location, with on-street parking, making it convenient for exploring the area. the cottage was also well-equipped, providing everything you could need for a comfortable stay.
While the cottage had many positives, there were a few minor drawbacks. the main bedroom would benefit from a full-length mirror, as it was the only thing missing in terms of convenience.
